Nicole and Andy tied the knot on May 25th, 2019 on Memorial Day weekend at the beautiful Lingrow Farm in Leechburg, PA. Their wedding was romantic, fun, and all-around just beautiful. The love they share is pure and they have such a fun time together.

Mimi + Patrick | A Washington DC Anniversary Session

 

Mimi + Patrick were one of our sweetest couples who got married back in 2017. After the wedding, we discussed an anniversary session in the area where they live and work, Washington DC. Fast forward two years and we are finally making plans to come down during potential peak cherry blossom season!! It was so exciting chatting back and forth and looking into locations and other things to do while we were going to be visiting. The morning of the session comes and they were troopers and decided again they liked us enough to wake up before the crack of dawn for a sunrise session starting at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial around the Tidal Basin in the heart of DC. Although we did end up missing the peak of the cherry blossoms, my goodness it was still so beautiful and peaceful before the tourist filled area was full of people. It’s not all about the background though especially when you have a couple as in love as they are! It was so great to catch up and get some really beautiful and meaningful images for these two. We even headed over to the cutest little French inspired café and bakery afterwards!

 

The Atems | Michelle + John | A Multiple Wedding Day Celebration | Pittsburgh, PA

This was one of the most fun wedding celebrations I’ve been a part of capturing. Both families were represented in their cultures, traditions, and celebrations for marriage! On the first day, it was focused around John’s family’s South Sudanese traditions with a celebration in North Park followed by a Henna Party. On the second day, it was focused around Michelle’s family’s typical American tradition with a church ceremony followed by a reception. I loved that in both days there was a fusion of intertwined aspects of both of their cultures, family, and personalities! What an amazing way to celebrate your marriage than with a multiple wedding day celebration here in Pittsburgh!

The Zaccheros | Megan + Wyatt | A St. Anne's + Crowne Plaza South Wedding | Pittsburgh, PA

 

Megan + Wyatt have been a dream from the very beginning of our time together! They actually booked us nearly 2 years prior to their wedding date, and I couldn’t have been happier!!

Their wedding day was so much fun and a beginning of some wonderful things for our team in particular. We had our team of 4 at their wedding, and my goodness did we get some really great captures. Amanda, Nickie, and I met Megan with her girls and both mommas at the salon where they were getting their hair and make-up done. We had so much fun getting some great documentary coverage and all the pretty bridal details, including her super cute Kate Spade Keds that sparkled so beautifully!

Then Nickie and Amanda headed over to hang out with Wyatt and the guys as they got ready for the day! They were fun and had some jokes to share, and that’s always fun for us! Jason joined me over with the girls at Megan’s and honestly, I got to hang out with the pup and had some great conversation with the fam! It was so much fun and we got some really great bridal party photos! The ceremony went wonderfully, and bridal party photos were just a blast, even though we got caught in the rain at the very end in Mt. Washington’s overlook.

The reception was so much fun, and were easily some of the most fun and unique entrances i’ve ever seen…so glad we had some video coverage for this moment! The night ended with lots of fun dancing and a lot of happy guests at the Crowne Plaza, and we couldn’t thank Megan + Wyatt, their families, friends and guests enough for how wonderful they all were to our team.

The Karwowskis | Lisa + Dalton | A Heinz Chapel Elopement | Pittsburgh, PA

Lisa and I have known each other for awhile now. We went to Bethel Park together until we graduated high school! Then, Lisa graciously helped us by modeling for us in a Bridal Styled Shoot we worked on back in 2016! That’s when I was super excited to get a message from Lisa saying she was engaged and wanted to talk about her wedding plans!

Lisa + Dalton had the right idea! They really wanted the day to be about the most important thing…marriage. They wanted a very low key, low stress, and loving atmosphere. They decided to get married with their absolute closest family and friends-about 20-30 people max! The beautiful Heinz Chapel in downtown Oakland on Pitt’s campus was the perfect spot for their romantic vows! After their ceremony, some quick family photos, and a few Heinz Chapel bridal portraits, we made our way outside for the rest of their portrait time around Pitt’s campus and even over near Phipps Conservatory! Overall, we were only with them for 2 hours, but we made every moment count!

After we had concluded our time together, Lisa + Dalton had a private dinner just the two of them to celebrate! The next day, they gathered with their friends and family for a reception dinner which we could not attend, but rounded up their wedding weekend fabulously.

The McCormicks | Jamie + Michael | A Mt Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church & Bella Sera Fall Wedding

 

Jamie + Michael are such a stinkin’ cute couple, we just love it! Their wedding was absolutely fabulous, romantic with a touch of vintage, and downright FUN! I mean, they even had a Rolls-Royce as their transportation…how cool is that!? The Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church was filled with unique touches and a balcony to get a great view of their ceremony, where they wrote their own vows to each other which were beautiful. It was a really special ceremony. Afterwards, we ventured around the stunning grounds of the church for their bridal portraits and had so much fun with just the four of us. Once we made it over to Bella Sera for a few more photos, I actually stepped into a hidden pile of mud up to my ankle…but there was no time to waste so I kicked off my shoes and we got a couple great photos with the bridal party in front of the Rolls-Royce before it started to sprinkle! The reception inside the Bella Sera was absolutely stunning, filled with a lot of beautiful touches. One of the most special were the grass centerpieces which were incredibly special to Mike as he has the important job maintaining the perfect golf greens for top golf courses! The remaining decor was timeless and also featured a few salt and pepper shakers, totally fun!! The best part was that Mike stepped on stage for the first dance to sing to Jamie before joining her for their dance as husband and wife. They both got on stage further into the reception and performed a duo, which was killer!! **BONUS: I captured a super non-professional video of such a sweet moment which I have embedded below!!** We ended the night in the garden area with nothing but laughs and smiles for a few fun nighttime portraits before they went back inside to dance the night away!

We couldn’t be happier for Jamie + Mike to start their marriage together and wish them nothing but happiness in their future. Join us in wishing Mr. & Mrs. Michael McCormick congratulations!!

A Classy Downtown Pittsburgh Engagement Session | Holly + Cody

 

This engagement session was one that is a little different than my norm, so let me explain with a bit more text than usual. Let me back it up a second to earlier on this extremely warm + humid summer day...I was working with Mitchell as he created a promo video for this wonderful photography business of mine, and I was super excited when he suggested I also grab a couple to include in this video. I knew exactly the perfect couple for this opportunity, and contacted Holly right away.

I met Holly about just over 8 years ago as we were training for college soccer, and she later became my roommate for the next 3 years (and obviously an extremely important person in my life). I was BEYOND ecstatic when I received a phone call just a few weeks before that her best friend had popped the question on vacation, and soon they would be planning a wedding! At this point, Holly and I had already discussed engagement photos and other wedding planning tips.

So back to the engagement session...sunset is right around the corner and we start with their session in cute summer outfits overlooking our stunning city of Pittsburgh. This area of Mt. Washington is one of my favorites, and I love how sunset and the night lights look with beautiful couples in love. Once our video section of the day was over, we decided to continue through the rest of the city in their most elegant outfits. Don't worry, we took a little break for a delicious Primanti's sandwich. Once we finished our late dinners, we walked over to Point State Park and then finished up with a quick set in front of the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown. I'm so glad they dressed up in their classiest apparel as it fit in perfectly with the energy and lighting of our city. I love mixing it up and all the laughs and genuine smiles that are within this gallery.

The Beahms | Ashley + Ethan | A Backyard Wedding | Evan's City, PA

Ashley + Ethan had the most perfect backyard wedding. Ethan’s parents hosted a quaint backyard wedding surrounded by nature…and WOW was it stunning! They both got ready in the house, and walked over to the spot where they met their closest family and friends to say their vows. Even their two dogs were running around and were able to attend the wedding festivities. We were lucky enough to have the rain hold off until we were done with their portraits and even provided us with a fun rainy umbrella picture at the end of the night!
